About Fuá

At the heart of Fuá da Tita is a love for Brazilian music, culture and the joy of playing together.

The band brings the sounds of Northeast Brazil into Melbourne’s multicultural music scene, blending traditional influences with the individual experiences and personalities of its musicians.

From intimate venues to festivals and community celebrations, Fuá creates an atmosphere that is warm, energetic and deeply connected to movement.

Because forró isn’t really music you’re meant to sit still for.

The Music

Rhythm you can feel.

Forró is both music and movement.

Driven by the pulse of the zabumba, the melody of the accordion and the rhythmic texture of percussion, its many styles carry stories of celebration, longing, everyday life and the cultural richness of Brazil’s Northeast.

Fuá da Tita explores rhythms including:

Forró • Baião • Xote • Xaxado • Coco

bringing them to life through energetic performances made for dancing.
